Welcome to fifth grade! Bienvenidos al quinto curso!  

We took a steam train ride in Essex, CT.

My name is Alyssa Crawford and I've been teaching in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District for the past 15 years.  For nearly all of those years, my role has been that of a Spanish Immersion teacher.  This means that I teach the content areas, such as science and social studies in Spanish so that my students can become proficient in an additional language.  

My husband, Sam and I live in the picturesque town of Pomfret Center, CT with our three children.  More than anything, we love to travel!  I've journeyed to six continents and hope to set foot on the seventh continent (Australia) sometime in the near future.  My most recent trip was to Paris and by the end of the vacation week I felt pretty confident understanding some of the French language.  While French isn't something I've mastered "yet", it's on my "to-do" list.  On top of teaching and traveling, I love to sing, read, exercise and hike.
